The swing / Up or down
Through the deliberate fragmentation of the canvas, a dialogue emerges between artist and viewer.Like open windows onto the collective unconscious, the green areas — reminiscent of a chroma-key background — invite viewers to bring their own interpretations into the work, allowing them to complete and extend it in their own way.
Placed side by side, the two paintings begin to function as one composition. The upright figures on the left establish a high point, while the crouched bodies on the right draw the eye downward, creating a loose triangular movement across the pair. Architectural lines, platforms and open green fields reinforce this connection, linking two separate scenes into a shared visual space.
