A Still Life Made From What Matters to You.
The objects carry the story. Some things mean far more than their material value - an inherited piece, a gift, a souvenir, or an ordinary object that became part of a memory.
A commissioned still life brings those objects together in one original painting, turning personal fragments into something you can live with every day.

Want to know a little more before you start?
You’ll be asked to share 5–6 objects that have personal meaning to you. From these, I select 2–3 that work particularly well together and develop them into a new still-life composition. The objects might relate to a person, a relationship, a family history, a journey or a particular moment in life. They remain recognisable, but together they begin to form something new - personal without having to explain itself to anyone else.
Instead of those memories staying in a drawer, a box or a photo archive, they become part of the room: something you pass every day and continue to live with.
You can submit photographs of the objects directly through the application. Clear images taken in good light and from a similar angle are ideal.
From there, I develop the composition and final painting while leaving room for my own interpretation and painting process.

Commission a Personal Still Life Painting by me! Katharina Reynhoudt
The composition brings together objects that carry very different kinds of meaning: a small Buddha, a tulip, gifted objects, familiar gestures and personal keepsakes. Some are tied to people, others to places, habits or particular moments. Together, these fragments of memory become the starting point for a new still life - not as a literal record, but as a way of bringing several stories into one image.
